Is Rise Well Right for Me?
You don't have to be sick to want to feel better.
Maybe your energy has changed. You're losing strength more easily. Your weight or body composition isn't responding the way it once did. Your hormones feel different. Recovery takes longer. You want to take better care of your skin, improve your overall health, or simply understand what you can do now to stay healthy for the years ahead.
Rise Well is for people who want to take a more intentional role in their health — at every age and stage of life.
Who We Help
People who don't feel like themselves anymore.
Most of the people who walk through our door aren't sick. They're wellness-minded people who want more energy, more stamina, better sleep, and a body that keeps up with their life. A few we hear from often:
Running on energy drinks and gas-station food, tired all the time, and ready for a real change — not another quick fix.
Who can't keep up with the chores the way he used to, and wants to know why before he just accepts it.
With brain fog, fatigue, and no motivation, who is done being told it's just stress.
There are a lot of options here. We start small, choose what fits your life, and keep working until you feel like yourself again.
Our Philosophy
Wellness today. Longevity for life.
At Rise Well, we believe longevity is about more than simply living longer. It is about maintaining the health, strength, mobility, energy, and independence to live those years well.
Our approach to healthcare is proactive and personalized. Rather than focusing only on treating illness once it occurs, we work to understand your health today, identify potential concerns early, reduce modifiable health risks, and build a strong foundation for lifelong wellness.
We look at the whole person — including lifestyle, hormones, metabolic health, body composition, strength, nutrition, sleep, recovery, skin health, and individual goals. We want our patients to feel confident in the bodies they have — caring for their skin, building strength, improving recovery, and feeling capable of reaching the goals that matter to them at every age and stage of life.
Our goal is to help you improve how you feel today while protecting the health you'll depend on tomorrow. Because true longevity isn't just about lifespan. It's about healthspan — staying healthy, active, strong, confident, and engaged in the life you love for as long as possible.
Feel better. Live stronger. Rise well today. Live well for life.
Services
Care built around your goals.
Feeling well is about more than treating symptoms. Every service below begins with the same question: what does feeling well look like for you?
01Hormone Optimization
Women & Men
Women's Hormone Optimization. Hormones can influence nearly every aspect of how you feel — from energy and sleep to mood, body composition, sexual health, and overall well-being. Therapy is individualized based on your symptoms, health history, goals, and appropriate laboratory evaluation, and may include bioidentical hormone therapy and other evidence-based approaches tailored to each stage of life — including support during perimenopause and menopause.
Men's Testosterone Optimization. Testosterone levels change with age and may affect energy, strength, body composition, sexual health, mood, and motivation. Treatment begins with a detailed assessment and laboratory testing, followed by ongoing monitoring to help ensure therapy remains both safe and effective.
02Metabolic Health
Initial & monthly Evolt scans
Our metabolic health program goes beyond the number on the scale: improving body composition, preserving muscle, supporting metabolic health, and creating sustainable changes that promote long-term health. When medically appropriate, prescription weight-management medications — including GLP-1–based therapies — may be part of a comprehensive plan.
Evolt body scans, at your first visit and monthly after that. The scan measures how much of your weight is body fat versus muscle, so we can track real change over time and tailor your diet and exercise plan to your body instead of a template.
Our goal isn't simply to help you weigh less. It's to help you become stronger, healthier, and more metabolically resilient.
03Musculoskeletal Health
Joints · Injuries · Physicals
Years in orthopedic medicine mean joints, mobility, and recovery are home ground here — not an add-on.
- Joint and trigger-point injections — cortisone and PRP (platelet-rich plasma), individualized to your symptoms, exam, and goals. A consultation determines whether either is appropriate for you.
- Strains, sprains, and sports injuries — evaluation and a practical plan to get you moving again, with sports medicine care for active people of every age.
- School and sports physicals.
04Aesthetics
You, refreshed
Rise in confidence. Well in your skin.
Our aesthetic philosophy is simple: you should still look like you — just rested, refreshed, and confident.
Xeomin is the neurotoxin we use, and the only one we offer. It is the purest form available — no additives — so it works locally at the injection site with minimal spread, which also makes it the safer choice for patients with autoimmune conditions. Aesthetic use only. Microneedling with Dermapen stimulates the skin's natural repair process and collagen production for improved texture, tone, and firmness, with exosome growth-factor serums available alongside it. About twenty minutes start to finish. Dermaplaning reveals smoother, brighter-looking skin with essentially no downtime. Acne treatment for teens and adults. And medical-grade skincare means carefully selected professional products and a practical routine you can actually maintain.
05Recovery
IV · Injections · Supplements
IV therapy delivers fluids and selected nutrients directly through an intravenous infusion — supporting hydration and recovery from travel, exercise, or illness when clinically appropriate. Every treatment begins with medical screening.
Vitamin injections offer a convenient way to receive selected vitamins and nutrients when medically appropriate — including vitamin B12 and other targeted therapies. Medical-grade supplements are available in the clinic, recommended only when they fit your plan.
06Limited Primary Care
On-site labs
Limited primary care for common health concerns — convenient access to a provider who already understands your health history and broader wellness goals, and who knows when specialty or higher-level care is the right call.
On-site lab services. Blood draws happen here, in the clinic, with our own phlebotomist — no separate trip for the labs your plan depends on.
What we don't do. Rise Well does not offer dermal fillers, PDO threads, laser skin resurfacing or laser hair removal, and we use neurotoxin for aesthetic purposes only — not for migraines. We do not evaluate back or neck pain. We have no on-site imaging of any kind: no x-ray, CT, MRI, bone density or mammography, and no EKG or heart-rhythm testing. We do not perform surgical procedures, take workers' compensation injuries, or offer DOT and pre-employment physicals. We see patients age 12 and up, and a guardian must be present for ages 12 to 18. If you need something we don't do, we'll say so and point you the right direction.
How payment works. Rise Well is a cash-pay clinic. We accept cash, local cheques, credit and debit cards. We do not bill any insurance, Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE, and we do not file claims. We can give you a superbill or receipt to submit yourself — some plans apply it to your deductible, but that is between you and your insurer, so please ask them before you book.
Coming. Peptide therapy and a direct primary care membership are planned for a later phase of the clinic.
What to Expect
A new kind of healthcare, one clear step at a time.
We don't do instant booking. Every appointment request is read by a real person on the Rise Well team, so your first visit starts with the right information already in hand.
Send an appointment request with what you're hoping to work on. In-clinic or telehealth.
The team reviews your request. For some visits we may ask for prior records or recent lab results first.
Once your booking is confirmed, new hormone and metabolic patients receive intake questionnaires through Athena, our patient portal, to complete before the visit.
An unhurried conversation, an exam, on-site labs, and an Evolt scan when it fits — your real baseline.
A personalized, evidence-based plan built around your body and your goals, with follow-up and adjustments as you go.
Meet Amie
Care from someone who actually listens.
Amie Schillinger, BSN, MPAS — founder of Rise Well.
After 20 years in medicine, I have realized that care can be provided differently. Individualized care not dictated by insurance companies, payment plans, or cookbook protocols. I can provide excellent care and support patients without a rushed 15-minute appointment where patients feel unseen, unheard, and are not cared for comprehensively.
Amie came to medicine the thorough way: five years as a nurse, then nineteen years as a physician assistant across the settings where you learn the most.
- 10 years primary care, emergency and inpatient medicine
- 5 years women's health, OB and surgery
- 5 years orthopedic surgery, outpatient and inpatient
That range is why Rise Well can look at the whole person — hormones, metabolism, joints, skin, and the primary care in between — instead of one lane. Patients describe her the same three ways: knowledgeable, confident, and she listens. That last one is the whole point. Plenty of clinics can change how you look. Amie's interest is in how you actually feel, and she'd rather help you feel better than get you "fixed."
Amie was raised in eastern Montana and came home to Sidney with her family. Rise Well is her answer to a simple conviction: the people of this community deserve trustworthy, honest care from someone who knows them by name.
The Team
Small on purpose. You'll know all three of us.
Dr. Anita Pedersen, DNP, FNP-BC
Board-Certified Family Nurse PractitionerAnita brings more than 30 years in healthcare, specializing in hormone replacement therapy for men and women, medical weight loss, and comprehensive primary care. She combines 15 years of primary care expertise with advanced hormone optimization to help patients achieve metabolic balance and vibrant health.
At Rise Well, Dr. Pedersen sees patients for hormone replacement therapy, metabolic health, neurotoxin (Xeomin), and limited primary care. Amie provides everything else — musculoskeletal and sports medicine, injections, the remaining aesthetic services, and recovery.
Outside the clinic she is with her family and on the family farm, tending her flower gardens, quilting, and traveling.
FAQ
The questions we get twenty times a week.
General answers, not medical advice. Your answer depends on you, which is why every one of these ends the same way.
QAm I a candidate for hormone therapy?
Candidacy depends on your symptoms, your health history, and lab work — not your age alone. Some people are good candidates for hormone therapy, some do better with a different approach first, and some need a conversation about risks before anything else. A consultation is where we sort out what fits you.
QCan I take estrogen if I have a family history of breast cancer?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. A family history changes the conversation but doesn't automatically end it — the answer depends on your personal history, the specifics of that family history, and an honest discussion of risks and benefits. We assess each person individually and never promise an outcome; a consultation is where that conversation starts.
QWill testosterone give me prostate problems or heart disease?
These are fair questions and they deserve a careful, individual answer rather than a blanket one. Testosterone therapy is prescribed only after a full assessment, appropriate lab work, and a frank discussion of your personal risk factors, and it's monitored on an ongoing basis. Whether it's right for you is exactly what a consultation is for.
QOnce I start a GLP-1, will I ever get off it?
Many people can, and the plan for stepping down is something we talk about from the beginning, not the end. GLP-1 medications work best as one part of a bigger picture: body-composition tracking, nutrition, strength, and accountability. Your path off a medication depends on your goals and your progress, so a consultation is where we map it out.
QWhat's the best treatment for adolescent acne?
There is no single best treatment — acne in teens depends on skin type, severity, and what's already been tried. Options range from medical-grade skincare to in-office acne treatments and prescription therapies when appropriate. A visit lets us look at the skin in person and build a plan a teenager will actually follow.
QHow do I get glowing, radiant skin?
Healthy-looking skin usually comes from consistency rather than one dramatic treatment: a skincare routine that fits your skin, protection from the sun, and periodic in-office care like dermaplaning or microneedling. Sometimes what's happening on the surface reflects sleep, stress, hormones, or nutrition, too. A consultation is where we figure out which pieces matter for you.
QWhich IV therapy is right for me?
That depends on why you're asking — recovery after travel or illness, hydration, and general wellness support each point to different formulations. Every IV treatment at Rise Well starts with a medical screening so it's appropriate and safe for you. Tell us what you're hoping for, and we'll match the therapy to the goal at your visit.
QWhat helps joint pain?
Joint pain has many causes, and the right help depends on what's actually going on in the joint. Options can include activity modification and strengthening, targeted injections such as cortisone or PRP, and knowing when imaging or a specialist referral is the right next step. An exam is where we sort out which option fits you.
QAre repeat cortisone injections safe?
Cortisone injections can be very effective for conditions like knee arthritis or shoulder bursitis, but they're generally used thoughtfully and spaced out rather than repeated without limit. How many is reasonable depends on the joint, your response, and your overall health. We talk through that honestly at your visit.
QHow is PRP different from a cortisone injection?
Cortisone is a steroid that calms inflammation, often with quick relief that may be temporary. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) uses a concentrated portion of your own blood to support the body's healing response, which tends to work more gradually. Which one makes sense — or whether either does — depends on your condition, and a consultation is where we decide together.
QWhat do longevity and wellness actually mean here?
To us, longevity means healthspan — staying strong, mobile, clear-headed, and independent for as many years as possible, not simply living longer. Wellness is the everyday version of that: energy, sleep, strength, and feeling like yourself. It's practical, measurable, and individual, which is why it starts with a consultation rather than a program.
QHow do I know if I'm in perimenopause?
Perimenopause can show up as changes in cycles, sleep, mood, energy, temperature regulation, and body composition — often years before periods stop, and often in ways that get dismissed. There's no single test that gives a yes-or-no answer, so we look at your symptoms, history, and appropriate lab work together. A consultation is where we sort out what's happening and what might help.
QHow does a man know if he needs or qualifies for testosterone?
Symptoms like low energy, reduced strength, changes in mood or motivation, and changes in sexual health can prompt the question, but they can have other causes, too. Qualifying involves lab testing done correctly, a full health history, and a candid discussion about benefits and risks. A consultation is where we find out whether testosterone is part of your answer.
