Why men come in.

Testosterone levels change with age and may affect energy, strength, body composition, sexual health, mood and motivation. The rancher who can't keep up with chores the way he used to. The oilfield worker running on energy drinks and tired all the time. Those symptoms can have other causes, too, which is why we test before we treat.

Common questions.

General answers, not medical advice. Your answer depends on you.

How does a man know if he needs or qualifies for testosterone?

Symptoms like low energy, reduced strength, changes in mood or motivation, and changes in sexual health can prompt the question, but they can have other causes, too. Qualifying involves lab testing done correctly, a full health history, and a candid discussion about benefits and risks. A consultation is where we find out whether testosterone is part of your answer.

Will testosterone give me prostate problems or heart disease?

These are fair questions and they deserve a careful, individual answer rather than a blanket one. Testosterone therapy is prescribed only after a full assessment, appropriate lab work, and a frank discussion of your personal risk factors, and it is monitored on an ongoing basis. Whether it is right for you is exactly what a consultation is for.
